Rihanna Takes Manhattan

Since Feb. 8, when Rihanna was allegedly assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown, the award-winning singer has been keeping a very low profile.
In fact, despite being at the center of a media feeding frenzy, it was almost two full weeks after the incident occurred when the 21-year-old was photographed in public for the first time.
And in the weeks since, she's only made a semi-public appearance once, when on March 10, she belatedly celebrated her birthday with friends at West Hollywood's Coco de Ville.
But on Friday afternoon, Rihanna seemed anything but camera-shy as she exited her car in Manhattan.
Far from the bruised superstar seen in the now-infamous photographs taken on the night of the alleged attack, the Barbados-born beauty was back to her old self, at least fashion wise, as she sported a cleavage-revealing jacket and skin-tight pants around the streets of the Big Apple.
According to onlookers, the "Umbrella" singer attended a string of meetings in the city and was spotted leaving a number of office buildings in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, it looks like reports of a Chris/Rihanna duet weren't all they cracked up to be. Producer Polow da Don says that the pair each recorded parts for a song "long before the incident."
