Just when things have started to heat up for her character Hermione on the CW's Riverdale, Marisol Nichols’ real life relationship with husband Taron Lexton has fizzled. According to The Blast, the actress has just filed for divorce. Read on for the latest.
Marisol has had her hands full trying to keep her fictional daughter Veronica (Camila Mendes) from lashing out at her fictional husband Hiram (Mark Consuelos) every day, but off camera she’s been dealing with her own drama.
The 45-year-old has split from Taron after a decade of marriage—and she’s even asked for spousal support and primary custody of their 10-year-old daughter Rain.
Though the announcement may seem sudden, the couple has actually been separated for two years already and—according to The Blast—Marisol cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Marisol and Taron have apparently been on the outs for a while, but that hasn’t seemed to wipe the smile off their daughter’s face. Rain was positively glowing in this pic her mom posted on Instagram back in July.
Just last month the actress re-posted a picture of her daughter that her ex took. In it, Rain is wearing a shirt with the words “Girl Power.” Marisol captioned the photo, “My ❤️ Photo @taronlexton.”
