Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested for kidnapping following an alleged domestic violence incident with girlfriend, Jen Harley. The Jersey Shore star allegedly chased his baby mama with a knife before being taken into custody. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has not filed any official criminal charges against Ronnie, but prosecutors have not yet received information from the LAPD concerning the early Friday morning incident.
Fox News 11 broke the story that Ronnie was arrested in Los Angeles after allegedly chasing Jen with a knife. The site also shared video footage from the incident where the 33-year-old is handcuffed and being placed in the back of an ambulance.
Los Angeles Police Department told RadarOnline.com exclusively on Friday morning that "officers responded to a battery in progress at the location they were staying at at around 2:40 a.m. Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred."
At the time, the LAPD confirmed that Ronnie "was being arrested for felony domestic violence" and that "a child at the location was not harmed." The child was not identified.
Police were not able to confirm to Radar that a knife was involved or any details about the alleged domestic violence.
Just weeks before the incident, Ronnie told Us Weekly the two were giving their romance another try...again! “You know, we’re still not perfect, but we’re still working on our relationship every day,” he said in mid September 2019. The two reportedly split in early September over cheating allegations.
The couple met back in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Ariana Sky, in April 2018.
In February 2019, Us broke the news that Ronnie spent a month in treatment for help with depression and alcohol abuse.
Over the years, the couple have had a lot of ups and downs, which have been featured on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
