Rutina Wesley Announces Engagement To Girlfriend Chef Shonda

Love is in the air for Queen Sugar and True Blood star Rutina Wesley! The actress recently announced her engagement to girlfriend Chef Shonda on her Instagram. Click through for all the details!

Rutina began what became a very loving thread of photos of the two with the simple statement: “Overthinking is the biggest cause of our unhappiness.” It ended with a gorgeous black and white photo of Rutina’s hand sporting a beautiful diamond ring.

Rutina accompanied the thread with a message that included, “LIGHT of my LIFE...FIRE of my LOINS... FIRE of my LOINS...MY SIN....My SIN....MY SOUL...” Awww.

The pair has not really been very flashy about their relationship, but you can tell from the few photos Rutina has shared that they definitely share a deep love and commitment to one another.

So much so that the actress’ followers were compelled to express their own excitement for the impending nuptials. One wrote,“Awww...I can see the love between you two..your love is beautiful!!"

Though Rutina has been busy impressing audiences on the small screen on the drama Queen Sugar, and even just earned a NAACP Image Award nomination for her performance on the hit series, but clearly she hasn’t been too busy for love.

This will be the second time Rutina will be walking down the aisle. She was married to Jacob Fishel for nearly a decade until 2013.
