Ryan Edwards' heroin and theft arrest left the Teen Mom world in shock. However, the Teen Mom OG star's ex and first baby mama, Maci Bookout, is "not surprised" over his latest bust. Keep scrolling to find out how their son, Bentley, and Ryan's parents, Jen and Larry, are taking the news.
“Maci’s not surprised,” a source close to Ryan's family told RadarOnline.com. “She’s more relieved because at least he’s not out acting like a fool. This will give him more time to detox.”
As for his parents Jen and Larry, and his son with Maci, 10-year-old Bentley, they “aren’t taking it well.” The source added, “It’s more of the shock that he’s not coming home for a pretty good while."
“Jen and Larry enable him just like his wife Mackenzie does,” the insider said. “They choose to not believe that he’s still the way he is.” Back in October 2018, Mackenzie gave birth to their first child together, a son named Jagger, but Ryan missed the birth since he was in rehab.
“It’s sad to see it come down to all of this,” the insider continued. “But he’s the only one who doesn’t care.”

As it was previously reported, Ryan was arrested on January 23, 2019 and will be remaining in jail until his April 15th, 2019 court hearing.
Public Relations Manager for Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office J. Matt Lea told Radar that Ryan reported to Hamilton County Probation Office, where he was arrested for outstanding warrants. He was charged with simple possession of heroin executed by Red Bank. The clerk clarified he broke probation from a past 2017 possession of heroin charge.
According to the site, he also has a warrant from Hamilton County for theft of services under $1,000. In a police report obtained from Chattanooga Police Department, a Bud’s Sports Bar server contacted police when the MTV star allegedly drank six Jack Daniels Whiskey drinks and left without paying on December 19, 2018.
In late 2018, Ryan checked into rehab for a 90-day stint after a relapse and checked out on Thanksgiving Day. He previously checked himself into rehab in May of 2017, but checked out just 21 days later.
