On this past season of Teen Mom OG, Ryan Edwards' substance abuse was exposed by his baby mama, Maci Bookout. It was revealed by E! News in early June that Ryan checked into rehab two weeks prior and on Father's Day weekend, he resurfaced on social media. And after the season finale featured a horrifying scene of Ryan driving under the influence, he released a statement for his concerned fans.

In a statement to MTV, Ryan confessed, "A little over 30 days ago, I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility."

"I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better," the reality star revealed.

And of course, he thanked his new wife Mackenzie and his parents, Jen and Larry. "Without the support of my wife and parents I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes," he said.

As seen on the show, Maci opened up about Ryan's substance abuse issues and even broke down in tears over him dying. Prior to checking into rehab, Ryan and Mackenzie decided to elope.
