Ryan Edwards' heroin addiction has been discussed on the MTV series, Teen Mom OG. As seen on the show, the reality star dad checked into rehab back in May of 2017 for 21 days. One thing that was not featured...his March 12th 2017 arrest, which was kept a secret until recently. RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed just how serious Maci Bookout's ex-boyfriend and baby daddy's terrifying addiction was.

In the citation obtained from Red Bank City Court in Tennessee by Radar, Ryan got pulled over during a traffic stop for an expired tag. While one officer spoke with the 30-year-old, a second observed a hypodermic needle in an open backpack on the passenger seat.

“I asked Edwards if he had any medical conditions and he replied, ‘No,’” the citation read. “I then asked why he had a hypodermic needle in his backpack and he replied, ‘I don’t know.’ I told them that the vehicle will be searched and he should inform me if there are more and Edwards replied, ‘Yes, probably.”

As Radar exclusively broke, Ryan was also arrested on March 27, 2018 for petition to revoke, which means breaking probation from the 2017 arrest. The arrest came only one day after it was announced that he’s expecting a baby with Mackenzie. It was recently revealed they are having a son who they plan to name Jagger.
