Sam Smith might have broken up with 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn back in June, but he's just now speaking out about the heartbreak. Read on to see what he had to say.
"Brandon was wonderful," the "Too Good at Goodbyes" singer told The Times. "I’m still trying to figure out what I took from that relationship and what it meant to me. It’s still quite raw."
"All my relationships have ended in a nice way, never nasty," Sam added.
The pop star went on to say that dating at his level of fame can be difficult. "My life from the outside can seem glamorous," he admitted, "but the reality is that I am on tour every other year and I’m never home, and it’s public."

But despite his challenges in love, Sam's not giving up any time soon. "I love sending flowers, leaving notes around the house and making thoughtful presents,” he said of being a hopeless romantic. "I feel like I’m in a Richard Curtis film all the time, which is bad because I think everything should be like a movie and I get anxiety when it’s not."
While Sam believes that gay relationships in the public eye are "important and refreshing," he's trying to be single for a bit. "Right now, the thought of getting into a relationship is too much," he said. "I just want to marry my job, work really hard and hopefully, when I’m not looking for love, it will come."
