'Saturday Night Live' Star Kenan Thompson Shares His Weight Loss Secrets

Kenan Thompson has been busy between Saturday Night Live, his NBC pilot The Kenan Show, and judging on the NBC competition show Bring the Funny. He stopped by Access to talk about his latest projects and his diet.

The SNL star, 41, credits eating a lot of the vegan-friendly Impossible meat and Beyond burgers.
“Cutting out sugar was a big one too,” Kenan added. He drank a lot of soda growing up, and eliminating the empty calories in the sugary drink made a huge difference.
The Good Burger star also credited working out for his massive weight loss. “Full-body old-school workouts” he explained, laughing about the pushups and sit-ups he does to keep in shape.

Kenan stopped by The Wendy Williams Show in December 2018, and commented on making sure he closed the rings on his Apple watch every day to make sure he kept active.
He also joked that “chasing around” his kids helped the weight melt off.
Kenan and his wife Christina Evangeline have two daughters, Georgia, 5, and Gianna, 1.
