Scarlett Johansson is over the marriage game! The beauty, who secretly split from Romain Dauriac after two years of marriage, admitted that monogamy is not it’s cracked up to be.
“I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it's a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing. I don't think it's natural to be a monogamous person,” she told Playboy.
Her split was a shock to many, and according to People, the actress and French journalist have been separated since the summer. Although the same day the shocking news went public, the couple attended an art exhibit in New York City and even posed for photos together. Trying to keep up appearances?
“I might be skewered for that, but I think it's work. It's a lot of work. And the fact that it is such work for so many people—for everyone—the fact of that proves that it is not a natural thing,” ScarJo went on to say.
“It's something I have a lot of respect for and have participated in, but I think it definitely goes against some instinct to look beyond,” she continued. Before Romain, Scarlett was married to hunky actor Ryan Reynolds, also for two years, from 2008 to 2010.
