Selena Gomez sounds unrecognizable on her new single "Bad Liar" which dropped today. The singer has been teasing this song all week with cryptic posts on Instagram, and now it's finally here!
In the video, now on Spotify, Gomez is seen writhing around on a bed with her hands tied with a ribbon, wearing nothing but lingerie.
Gomez posted a series of videos and photos to Instagram teasing the release. Three images included lyrics written on a mirror in lipstick: "Trying not to think about you / trying to play it coy / trying to distract myself." Could this song be about her new boyfriend The Weeknd?

The art for the single includes a hazy pink photo by photographer Petra Collins of Gomez with a cotton swab held to her arm with medical tape and what looks like a hospital band on her wrist. This could be alluding to the time she spent in rehab.
The beat and melody of the song are way different from what we're used to hearing from Gomez. This song has a much more sultry, sensual vibe than her usual upbeat pop music.
