'Sex And The City' Cast Makes BIG Announcement About New Film

Sad news for Sex And The City fans! After it was revealed that the third movie from the franchise was set to film starting this fall, it has now been confirmed by Sarah Jessica Parker that it’s officially canned for now! One of its stars outrageous demands was just too much for everyone involved, and it looks like we won’t be seeing our favorite foursome sipping Cosmopolitans in their high heels anytime soon.
Sarah, AKA Carrie Bradshaw, was approached by Extra at the New York City Ballet opera with husband Matthew Broderick about the status of the movie. She simply said “It's over… we're not doing it.”
She was definitely saddened by the news, as it looks like this was a project she was excited about. "I'm disappointed," she continued. "We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."
Who's to blame for all of this? It looks like Kim Cattrall, who played the seductive and confident Samantha Jones since the show started twenty years ago.
Kim apparently caused production to shut down just hours before Sarah admitted the movie wasn’t happening. So what did she actually do that prevented the film from moving forward?
Kim’s demands with Warner Brothers (who gave the green light to the film after months of speculation) were not met as she wanted them to produce other movies she had in development. If they didn’t do that, she wouldn’t sign up for the contract. So the movie is a no-go for now.

A source revealed to DailyMail TV that Kim truly is the one to blame for all of this. "The only reason this movie isn't being made is because of Kim Cattrall. Everyone was looking forward to making this movie but Kim made it all about her, always playing the victim. "Kim had the audacity to tell Warner Bros that she would only do this if they made other movies she had in development. Ridiculous. Who does she think she is - George Clooney?”
Another source added a little shade into the mix, saying "'This franchise made her and let's be frank, it's all she is really known for.”
It’s not just the stars' lives that are affected in this movie, it's many others as well. "'Cast and crew don't just show up to make a movie, they have to rearrange their lives. People turned down other jobs, were in the process of relocating to New York but she kept stalling and was always unavailable when answers from her were needed," reveals the source.
Looks like the frustrations with Kim, who hinted that she would maybe want to play Samantha one last time in the past, are very clear with people involved with the project. "Kim held everyone's life up”, says the source. "Her behavior is beyond disappointing. We should've been shooting the movie and now everyone is wondering will this film ever get made.”
