The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s fans were caught off guard this week when NeNe Leakes took to her Instagram to blast Kenya Moore for a ‘backstabber’ comment she made about her during RHOA’s Jan 31 episode. And RHOA vet Shereé Whitfield exclusively told OKMagazine.com that she doesn’t blame Leakes for standing up for herself against Moore’s comments!
Whitfield, who has had trouble with Moore in the past, said she understands how Moore’s words can sometimes come off has problematic.
“What I do know is that Kenya has a way of constantly making statements that may not necessarily sit well with most of the ladies,” she told OKMagazine.com.
Whitfield added that her own run-in with Moore during the first episode of RHOA’s Season 8 allowed her to “empathize” with Leakes’ predicament!
“I can empathize with how NeNe felt and think that she is entitled to respond to Kenya's claims and defend herself and her character,” she said. Whitfield added that she “definitely did the same when Kenya tried to come” for her, jokingly referencing her biting diss about Moore’s new home being located “in a ditch!”
Leakes and Moore seemed to be moving forward after several seasons of feuding on RHOA, with the two even hanging out with Cynthia Bailey and Whitfield during Moore’s recent birthday celebration!
But Whitfield admits that the RHOA ladies' friendships can be tough to keep up with, and she tries to stay clear of the drama. “As you know these ladies are constantly playing musical friends,” she said. “I try not to get too involved in their relationships.” What do you think about NeNe and Kenya's feud?
