David Beckham got away from the stress and drama of his current legal situation with a luxurious getaway to Île Sainte-Marguerite, a gorgeous island off the coast of France. The soccer player even found time to get a quick snap with Sir Elton John!
In the photo posted to his Instagram, David kicked back on Elton’s yacht and showcased his impressive and athletic physique. Elton, on the other hand, wore a button-down top and a pair of his trademark sunglasses.
Under the snap, he highlighted just how long he has known the singer. He wrote, “Uncle Elton.... We have known each other now for 25 years .. Fun times with each other ? @eltonjohn @davidfurnish.”
It appears that their trip was a family affair! David’s wife Victoria, their children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7, and Elton’s husband, David Furnish, were also spotted out and about on the island.
Back in the UK, the 43-year-old was due to appear in court regarding a speeding case. He is accused of doing 59mph in a 40mph zone while driving his Bentley back in January.
A not guilty plea was entered in the London-native’s absence and his trial will happen at a later date.
