'Sister, Sister' Star Marques Houston Announces Engagement After 5 Month Romance

Sister, Sister star Marques Houston is all grown up and getting hitched. The actor/singer, best known for paying Tia and Tamera Landry’s persistent neighbor Roger Evans, announced his big engagement news via Instagram.
Marques, 37, chronicled his beachside proposal with a series of intimate snaps. Under a close-up picture of his and new fiancée, Miya’s fingers intertwined he wrote, “She said ‘Yes.’”
Most of the photos zeroed in on Miya’s impressive princess cut diamond engagement ring.
The You Got Served star’s wife-to-be also posted the engagement photos on her account. She used the caption to gush about her man. She wrote, “These past months have been the best months of my life. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend them with anyone else or any other way.”
“I love you so much and I promise to always be the best for Jehovah and for you. You deserve the best and it’s my goal to give you that. I can’t wait to marry you,” she continued.

The couple, who are both Jehovah’s Witnesses, got together in October 2018.
Marques starred on Sister, Sister opposite Tia and Tamera Mowry from 1994 to 1999. In addition to his acting career, he found musical success with three-part boyband IMx and then as a solo act.
