After staying mum throughout the pregnancy, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan took to Instagram to announce that he and girlfriend Chloe Mendel have welcomed a baby girl. Read on for all the details on their newest bundle of joy.
Under a picture of his son gently cradling the newborn, Billy wrote, “Please welcome PHILOMENA CLEMENTINE CORGAN, the latest addition to our family! Pictured here with her brother, Augustus Juppiter, this makes 8, counting Chloe, Angelface, Diamondbaby, Chin Chin, Ling Ling and yours truly.” He included the family’s dogs and cats in the roll call of names.
Then the “Tonight Tonight” singer took a moment to praise Chloe. “I''m so lucky to have a great partner in @chloemendel, who juggled raising our son, pregnancy with Philomena, whilst building her fashion line (@maisonatia) and navigating my being gone so much with SP in 2018,” he added.
Over on her Instagram, the fashion designer momma posted the same picture of her kids and wrote simply, “Our dumplings.”
Though the couple choose to keep both pregnancy under wraps, now they have no problem gushing about their little ones.
During an interview with PAWS Chicago, Chloe opened up about what it was like to juggle parenthood and their careers. She said, “I love that Augustus can be a part of my work life and his father’s. Not many babies go to fabric stores in the day, then music studios at night."
