Summer fun brings with it a set of seasonal beauty obstacles like heat, humidity and chlorine, just to name a few, that frankly make me want to throw my hair in a ponytail and bury my head in the sand until fall. Top Knot

The top knot looks chic when you're lounging poolside during the day or hitting happy hour at night. Class up a low ponytail by starting a braid at the base. Secure with a hair elastic, then wrap loose strands around the elastic to cover for effortless elegance.

Fishtail Side Braid

A simple fishtail side braid with a little volume thrown in around the crown of your hair makes for an easy, romantic summer look. To create a fishtail braid, divide your hair into two sections, then take a thin section of hair from one side and bring it over to the opposite side. Repeat this step on the other section, continue until your braid is formed.
