The Real’s fans were shocked to learn over the weekend that Tamar Braxton had left the talk show after her second successful season on the TV hit. Braxton took to her Instagram page on May 21 to blast someone who she said betrayed her, leading her followers to immediately question what was going on with the singer and reality TV star. Reports quickly surfaced that Braxton had been axed from The Real. And by May 22, the show released a statement confirming her departure. Amid the fallout of the situation involving Braxton and The Real, there have been many questions swirling around about what exactly led to Braxton’s shocking exit. And we’ve gathered all the latest details on the firing scandal drama and who is being blamed for the trouble!
Once it was revealed that Braxton had indeed was leaving The Real, the show’s fans quickly began making their way to the Instagram pages of Braxton’s fellow The Real hosts — Tamera Mowry, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon!
It was quickly discovered that Braxton had unfollowed the social media accounts of Love and Mai, leading many of Braxton’s fans to fill both Love and Mai’s comments sections on Instagram with tons of heated comments and questions about Braxton leaving The Real.
Love eventually made her Instagram account private. And none of The Real girls made any comments on the situation as the weekend came to a close.
Reports over the weekend claimed that Braxton had been having issues with The Real’s production team during her time on the show. And by Monday, the internet was buzzing over the situation, with Braxton remaining a trending topic on Twitter and Facebook!
Talk show host Wendy Williams quickly added her thoughts on the situation when she took to her TV show’s Hot Topics segment on Monday. According to Williams, she felt that Love — who filmed an interview for her show just a week earlier — had known at the time of her The Wendy Williams Show visit that Braxton’s status on The Real was in trouble.
She also revealed reports claiming that all the hosts on the show, except for Mowry, had made complaints about Braxton ahead of her departure. And Williams said that sources also raised budget issues as a concern when it came to keeping Braxton on The Real, seeing that her husband served as a producer on the show along with her being a co-host!
Williams also hinted that Love may have played a role in the story of Braxton’s exit being leaked, saying that sources said that Love is reportedly good friends with blogger B. Scott — who broke one of the first reports on Braxton’s exit from The Real!
Braxton’s own friends got into the drama as well in the days following the reveal, with her good friend and online personality Mr. L Davis taking to his Twitter to share tons of details on his take on the firing scandal.
According to Davis, Braxton had no idea she was being booted from the show and that she was not difficult to work with and was always professional!
Davis also hinted again that B. Scott may have been in contact with a source from the show, calling out “one of the remaining hosts” as a friend of the blogger!
By Tuesday, all of The Real girls had broken their silence on the drama, with Bailon, Love, Mai and Mowry all posting individual tributes to Braxton on Instagram!
But following her post, Davis hinted that Love still hadn’t called Braxton about the firing scandal.
“How you post pictures on instagram, but aint even called!?!” Davis wrote. “The one that aint called the one that unlocked her instagram so y'all could see her post. But whatever.”
And many fans took that post as a possible dig at Love since she made her Instagram page private over the weekend, making it public again once she posted the image of herself and Braxton! But despite the drama, The Real girls have remained quiet about the specific details of the situation as Braxton’s fans continue to fume over her departure from the show!
