Tamera Mowry Confirms ‘Sister Sister’ Reboot!
90s babies rejoice! A Sister Sister reboot is officially in the works. In an exclusive interview with OK! the show’s star Tamera Mowry confirmed that the hit 90’s sitcom is well on its way to making its TV return!
But what about the show’s original cast? Are Tia (played by Tia Mowry), Lisa (played by Jackee Harry), Ray (played by Tim Reid), and Roger (played by Marques Houston) all a part of the reboot plan?
“Yes, original cast…you’ll definitely, see familiar faces if it comes back.” WOOOO!
Tamera’s sister Tia first sparked reboot buzz back in 2015 when she told Meredith Vieira, “It’s just all about timing … so we’ll see. The fans, they really want it, so we’ll give it to them, probably.” And, just last month, Tia told Nylon that she and Tamera were looking “for a producer and writer” who could “be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show.

Surprisingly though, even with Sister Sister’s large following, its comeback hasn’t been easy. “I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be,” Tia confessed. Everything in my career has always been a challenge.”
The show, which aired from 1994-1999, chronicled the lives of identical twins that meet as teenagers and then move in together with their respective single adopted mother and single adoptive father.
