Tarek El Moussa got candid about the meeting that went down between his ex-wife Christina Anstead and his new girlfriend Heather Rae Young. The HGTV star revealed how it all went down on Tuesday, September 3.
Tarek, 38, admitted on GMA3: Strahan, Sara and Keke that he didn't give Christina, 36, any warning before she met Heather, 31.
“I was like, ‘Oh, I’m coming over to see the kids. By the way, my girlfriend is coming. See you in five,'" the Flip or Flop personality said on the talk show.
The father of two also said that he didn't tell Heather about the meeting either. “That’s literally how it went down,” he said. “I looked at Heather, and I was like, ‘Are you ready?’ And she was like, ‘Ready for what?’ I was like, ‘Well, we’re going to go see the kids, and my ex-wife is there.’"
Tarek continued, "And she goes, ‘What do you mean?’ And I’m like, ‘No. We’re going right now.’ She’s like, ‘Right now. Right now?’ I was like, ‘Right now. Right now.’ So that’s how they met.”

But all was right in the world after the two women met. Heather and Christina bonded over their mutual love of health and wellness.
“They get along great,” he said. “They both eat that healthy, hippy food. That weird juice. They do that weird hiking stuff. You know that weird stuff.”
Christina and Tarek filed for divorce in 2017 after eight years of marriage. The couple share daughter Taylor, 8, and son Brayden, 3. The Christina on the Coast star married to British TV presenter Ant Anstead in December 2018 and are expecting their first child together.
