Special Treatment? Taylor Swift’s New Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Just Landed A MAJOR Film Role

Joe Alwyn has only been dating Taylor Swift for a few months now and already the actor is reaping the benefits! Joe has joined the star-studded cast of the upcoming film Mary Queen of Scots, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The historical drama will also star Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan, who will play Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary, respectively. Joe will play Dudley, Queen Elizabeth’s counselor and lover. It’s certainly an impressive role for the relatively unknown actor to nab! Could Joe’s relationship with Taylor have something to do with his quick rise to the top?

Joe and Taylor’s relationship was first exposed by The Sun in May. The paper reported that the pop star had rented a house in North London to be close to her new beau, and had even resorted to donning disguises while going out with the 26-year old.

While it would be easy to blame Joe’s latest film role on his connection to Taylor, the actor had actually already established himself as a talented up and comer in the film industry long before meeting the “Bad Blood” singer.

In 2016, Joe starred in the Ang Lee film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk alongside Kristen Stewart. He’s also working with Emma Stone in the period piece The Favourite, set to hit theaters next year.

Joe has even modeled! The actor posed with Taylor’s bff Gigi Hadid for Vogue magazine in 2016.
