Taylor Swift is a supportive girlfriend! After keeping her relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn as private as possible over the past year and a half, the singer opted to step out and show rare public support for her man at the premiere of his new film The Favourite at the New York Film Festival on Friday night.
At the premiere, Taylor decided to skip the red carpet, letting her man have the spotlight—even if it meant he walked the carpet with his leading lady, actress Emma Stone!
Taylor looked gorgeous in a sheer red and black gown, but kept herself bundled up in a long black coat on the chilly fall night.
Joe and Taylor have been dating for well over a year. The Sun first reported the two were a couple in May 2017. The two have remained shockingly tight-lipped about their romance, but Joe recently told British Vogue, "I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. I think we have been successfully very private.”

Although Taylor did her best to keep her attendance a secret, she was reportedly spotted exiting the theater through a back door after the premiere.
While Taylor and Joe steered clear of each other on the red carpet, the couple was later seen returning to her Tribeca apartment that night, where they held hands as they exited a car.
