Taylor Swift helped BFF Gigi Hadid celebrate her 24th birthday in style, but she missed the memo about the dress code! The singer, who’s kept a low profile within the last year, attended the festivities at the L'avenue restaurant in New York City.
Though the theme of the night was denim, Taylor, 29, boldly broke the dress code. She paired an oversized checkered blazer with a floral-print mini-skirt.
The “Delicate” singer rounded out her risky look with a pair of strappy sandals and a quirky cat handbag.
Though Taylor ignored Gigi’s theme, there was nothing but love between the longtime friends. On her Instagram story, over a sweet selfie taken during the party, Taylor wrote, “I love you so much Gigi!”

Taylor’s appearance at the birthday bash comes just days before her top secret “4.26” release.
Since April 12, the Pennsylvania native has been posting increasingly cryptic social media updates and hinting that she’s set to drop a huge project on April 26. She hasn’t released a studio album since 2017’s Reputation.
