‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Tyler Baltierra Is Writing A Tell-All Book About Mental Illness & Marital Problems

Tyler Baltierra hopes he can help other young married couples in similar situations. He and his wife Catelynn Lowell have both been candid about their struggle to work through their marital problems while also battling depression. According to a source, Tyler is now working on a tell-all book about their experiences.

“Tyler is still struggling with depression, but writing is a big outlet of his,” an insider close to the reality star told RadarOnline.com. “He’s in the midst of writing a self-help book for mental health that he wants to release in 2019.”

During the most recent season of Teen Mom OG, the 26-year-old asked Catelynn for a separation period. He believed it was important for both of them to figure out who they are outside the confines of their marriage. The source told Radar the couple’s period apart was successful.

“He seems the most confident he ever has in their relationship now that he knows that he can be 100 percent honest with Cate about how he feels,” the insider explained. “They’re both really well.”

In a conversation with Dr. Drew during the Teen Mom OG reunion, Tyler admitted that a part of him felt resentment towards Cate, her postpartum depression, and her subsequent rehabilitation.

“After a certain time yeah I blamed her,” he said. “You have to take accountability. ‘Cate did you not notice you haven’t changed in three days? Did you not notice you haven’t gotten out of bed? You’re in a robe on a couch.’ I know it sounds insensitive.”
