The MET Gala is kind of Blake Lively's thing. She usually (if not always) tops best-dressed lists and pushes the limits while leaving traces of her signature style in every gown or mini (who could forget the navy blue number of 2010?) she's ever worn to the annual event. This year, the gorgeous gal, with the unbelievably tiny waist, walked the red carpet in a blush Gucci Première gown with an iridescent sheen and a romantic train stemming from the sleeves of her gown. A crop top at the MET Gala? Boundary-pushing Bad Gal RiRi wasn’t the only lady who gave her midriff (and her tattoo) a photo op. The structured bodice of the Stelle McCartney design featured an open back and a ruched and formfitting mermaid skirt in a crisp white hue. Say what you want about Rihanna’s trend to take risks, but this decision couldn’t have looked better.

There’s always one girl who brings it to the MET Gala. Model Karolina Kurkova took over that guest role in an archtectural floral-print gown by Marchesa. It was a perfect pick for such a groundbreaking spring style event. She let the dress really shine by pulling her locks up into a tight ballerine bun and accented its voluminous nature with a diamond-encrusted choker.

It was fresh, it was girly, it was totally Emma. Now if only you could time travel back to your prom days and rock this A-lister-approved look.

Lily Aldridge paid homage to the metallic trend of spring 2014 with silver lame gown with elegant pleats and drapery in a strapless, sweetheart silhouette. Her makeup artist, Quinn Murphy, used romantic, dewy cosmetic hues from the Sonia Kashuk collection to give the attention-grabbing gown a softer side.

Suki Waterhouse - Met Gala Fashion

Is too much tulle a thing? Not on Suki Waterhouse. The actress played up layers of the fabric in a flattering and ultra femme design by Burberry. The multiple layers of tulle created a gradient of pink and blush hues, all of which complemented her creamy complexion. Suki gave her pretty look a pop with a bold red lip and multiple diamond rings.
