The Evolution of Jess' Outfit in the First Episode of New Girl

Love! It's love! Jess and Nick decide that they're both "all in," but can't possibly go back into their shared loft. Because, like, it's weird to already be sharing an apartment and then start dating or something. But let's draw attention to Nick's crisp white shirt, Jess's beautiful blue sari, and her perfect high ponytail.

Jess and Nick embark to Mexico to find peace from the thought of explaining their relationship to Schmidt and Winston. If Schmidt was your roommate, you'd be hesitant, too.

The lovebirds finally arrive in paradise, and apparently, thought it was time for a wardrobe change. Jess opted to change her original look by revealing a crop top and a skirt. She also took her hair down from the mod, high ponytail and chose a small french braid on the side.

Paradise requires lounging chairs, and Jess and Nick made that happen when they snuck into the resort.

And somewhere in all the madness, Jess found time to get a hair wrap.

After Nick stole a bracelet, Jess had no choice but to rescue her love.

Jess ventured back to L.A. to tell her friends that Nick had been locked up. This also gave her an opportunity to display their adventure in the form of her dirt-stained dress.

The friends are on board. But really, did they have a choice? Jess looks pretty pissed.

She finds him, yes, but click on to see her big hair surprise.

This all ends with a star fish in her hair. How did this happen? We really don't know.
