Brody Jenner Says He Can't Rely On Caitlyn & Does 'Not Expect Too Much From Her'
Brody Jenner got brutally honest during the latest episode of The Hills: New Beginnings about his parent Caitlyn Jenner being absent for much of his life. He admitted that she only came around to see him "every couple of years."
On the second episode of the MTV reboot that aired on Monday, July 1, the 35-year-old sat down with friends and costars Brandon Lee and Frankie Delgado. Also present at the dinner were Shaquille O'Neal's son Myles and famed Old Hollywood actor Steve McQueen's grandson Chase.
During a sit-down dinner, the trio discussed growing up with famous parents. Brody, who was slammed last month when he misgendered Caitlyn and didn’t use the proper pronouns while discussing her gender transition, spoke candidly about his relationship with her.
“I didn’t really grow up with my dad,” Brody said.
“When I was really little we got to spend a little time. When he started, obviously, the family with the Kardashian family, I didn’t really see much of him," he said.

He continued, "Bruce was just never really around — every so often maybe once every couple years. Wasn’t around for my graduation, wasn’t around for most of my birthdays so, yeah, it really wasn’t any relationship. It was very surface."
"Eventually, we started to become closer but then all of a sudden, it’s like, I was just getting to know Bruce and then Bruce became Caitlyn...She’s totally different. It’s awesome, it’s great. She’s happy, she’s running around. She’s off living her life, so what I’ve learned is to just not expect too much from her," the DJ added.
The Princes of Malibu star recently revealed to OK! that he does not keep in touch with the Kardashian clan except for younger half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
