So Fake! Whitney Port Reveals The Famous Paris Trip From ‘The Hills’ Was A Total Lie & She Never Went

Whitney Port admitted The Hills producers staged the scene of her getting on a flight to Paris in place of Lauren Conrad – she never even went! The Hills: New Beginnings star was chosen over LC after the latter famously rejected a summer internship at Teen Vogue in Paris to be with Jason Wahler.
Whitney, 34, dramatically met Lisa Love, who was Vogue and Teen Vogue’s West Coast Director, at LAX during the first season of The Hills in 2006. “That was so ridiculous,” she admitted in an interview posted on Vogue.com on March 6.
“It wasn’t an ideal situation, but I thought, okay, this is good for me because I really was pursuing a career in fashion. I thought it showed that I was down and determined to do this,” she said.
The scene, Whitney recalled, was entirely staged. “It was very Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs from The Devil Wears Prada. I got dressed up in an airport look and went for it,” she said.

Lisa, 64, said the famous line, “She's going to always be known as the girl who didn't go to Paris,” about LC after she opted to choose love over her career. She admitted she got the phrase from Anna Wintour and “the writers ran with it.”
This is the first time Whitney’s come clean about the iconic moment. As recently as May 2016, she was still claiming the Paris trip happened. At the time, she told ET it wasn't filmed because producers "had all the footage that they needed for the season."
