As OK! readers know Tamera took a temporary leave of absence from The Real during the initial search to find out if her niece was still alive. She also took away time to grieve with her husband, Adam Housley, and their family after they received the tragic news of Alaina’s passing.
Tamera opened up to her co-hosts and told them, "I was afraid to come HERE. I don't feel safe."
Despite the loss she suffered due to gun violence, Tamera stated, "I don't want to live in fear."
