The World Dog Awards. 8pm on The CW. Who says humans should get all the accolades? George Lopez hosts the first-ever pets awards show, which honors celebrity pooches, on-screen dogs and exceptional dogs who belong to regular (aka not famous) people. Dog-loving stars like Ian Somerhalder will present.
American Idol. 8pm on Fox. Have you heard of this little place called New York City? That’s where auditions will take place tonight.

A to Z. 9:30pm on NBC. Andrew’s dad shows up in the second-to-last episode of this entire series, which is ironically named “L is for Likeability.” Is it though?
