Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins walked the red carpet together at the CMT Music Awards on June 5 and fans slammed her outfit! The country crooner ended up disabling his comments section on Instagram and slammed people for their ‘hateful’ remarks.

Thomas, 29, posted a photo with his wife captioned, “Mom and dad went to the @cmt awards?? thank you @littlebigtown for being awesome and rocking with me!”

The “Marry Me” singer wore a maroon suit, a white button down and black loafers. Lauren, 29, wore a silky pink top, a leopard print dress, a brown belt, and pink heeled sandals.

E! posted the photo on their Instagram and fans got pretty mean about her look. One person commented, “Is a Cheetah Girls 4 coming out.” Another said, “I thought this was something from Disney Channel circa 2007.”

Thomas ended up disabling the comments section on the photo with his wife. He also jumped in the comments of People’s Instagram post! “All of you with these hateful comments should be ashamed,” he wrote.
