Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles is again offering her thoughts on her daughter's shocking new visual album Lemonade, which sparked new talk about trouble in the singer's marriage to Jay Z upon it's surprise release on April 23!
The album and its accompanying film feature themes of infidelity, heartbreak and redemption in a broken marriage.
Many took the lyrics on the album's tracks as Bey's commentary on her reported marriage issues with Jay Z. And in an interview with Houston, Texas' KTRK, Tina said that the struggles and triumphs that come with romantic relationships are indeed one of the themes her daughter hoped to explore with the album.
"People make it all about the cheating and betrayal and, yes, that's a part of it because that is something you have to heal from," Tina said. "If you really listen to the poetry it is one of hope and redemption and hopefully that can be healing for people." She added that Beyoncé's album and the stories explored in it could be a fit for marriages around the world.

"It could be about anyone's marriage," she said. "I think that everybody at one time or another has been betrayed and lied to and it's about the pain--and it's about the healing process--and it's about how do you get past that and move on."
Tina went on to say that when she went through her own divorce with Bey's father, Mathew Knowles, several years ago, it was the exes' daughters, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, that helped her though her toughest times! "I remember my first little pity part and I called them crying and you know, they all came," she said. "We had a slumber party, we watched old movies all night and ate ice cream--it was very healing." She continued, "My children are my rock and they are. Its just been the best gift god could have given me."
Knowles has since remarried with actor Richard Lawson, who she shares tons of cute photos and videos with on her Instagram account. The two both praised Bey's latest project on the night of it's release and in the days after. And they have also been traveling with her as she completes the first leg of her Formation World Tour!
