Halloween is finally here! The TODAY Show and Good Morning America hosts got all dressed up, and are ready to get down! This year, instead of something spooky, the TODAY anchors showed off their best dance moves and recreated iconic musical moments from television and film. Meanwhile, at Good Morning America, the hosts focused on the 1970s for a disco-tastic dance party.
Craig Melvin and Al Roker of TODAY brought back the ‘90s as Will Smith and Carlton Banks, respectively, from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Craig, 40, rocked a colorful t-shirt and shorts with just like the title character of the hit show. Al, 65, wore a white button-down with a cardigan draped over his shoulders with purple plaid pants. To complete the aesthetic, they did the iconic Carlton dance.
Hoda Kotb dominated the dance floor and channeled Saturday Night Fever in a white suit and black button-down shirt. Her ‘70s look was complete with gold necklaces and a bold wig, just like Tony Manero from the groovy disco film.
Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly were the iconic duo of Sandy and Danny from Grease. Savannah, 47, wore an all-black outfit with heels and a bold red lip. She completed the look with the curly blonde ‘do Sandy wore at the end of the 1978 film. Carson, 46, dressed up in a Rydell High cardigan with loafers and a slicked-back wig, just like the Thunderbirds leader.
No one puts Jenna Bush Hager in a corner! The host returned from maternity leave for the day to team up with Willie Geist and recreate the “Time of Your Life” scene from Dirty Dancing. Willie, 44, and Jenna, 37, dressed up as Johnny and Baby, respectively, from the 1987 film.
Sheinelle Jones channeled Janet Jackson and marched to the beat of “Rhythm Nation” in a spot-on costume similar to the one the pop icon wore in the 1989 music video, along with the Rhythm Nation 1814 film. The look was complete with a top and cap adorned with buckles and metal pieces.
Peter Alexander recreated another ‘80s look, as he dressed up as Kevin Bacon’s Ren from Footloose. He grooved out to the titular song in a maroon jacket and bowtie just like the star of the 1984 film.
Dylan Dreyer had all the right dance moves, as far as Elaine Benes from Seinfeld is concerned. She recreated the iconic scene where Elaine busted dance moves bold and bizarre enough to make George Costanza utter, “sweet fancy Moses.”

Meanwhile on Good Morning America, Lara Spencer perched in a larger-than-life martini glass as Caberet’s Liza Minelli. The GMA host wore a red sequin outfit and matching hat with metallic heels. Lara, 50, also rocked a wig similar to the Academy Award-winning actress’ hairstyle in the 1972 film.
Robin Roberts dazzled as Donna Summers. She donned a colorful sequined shawl and silver dress with a wig, similar to the “I Feel Love” songstress.
Sam Champion was joined by cardboard cutouts to complete his Village People costume. The weatherman rocked denim shorts and button-down, along with a construction worker belt, boots, and helmet. Sam, 58, finished off the look with a thick mustache.
Ginger Zee also found inspiration from an Olivia Newton-John film and dressed up as Kira from Xanadu. She wore a pale pink dress with a ribbon in her hair, and roller-skated around the studio.
Sara Haines and Amy Robach teamed up to dress up as the iconic 70s power couple Sonny and Cher. The cohosts rocked bright colored outfits adorned with sequins and replicated their groovy hairdos.
The epic disco party was deejayed by George Stephanopoulos.
