Tristan Thompson showed off sneakers that said True and Prince amid reports that he doesn’t actively parent either kid. The NBA star got their names and his younger brother Amari’s name etched into custom purple Nikes to bring awareness to epilepsy.
Tristan, 28, posted a picture of his shoes on March 26 and captioned it, “Todays a special day for me and these kicks are very special to me.”
In another post, he said, “It's a day we can all come together to grow as much awareness as possible for people living with epilepsy and to end the stigma. I'm grateful that I can help my little brother Amari, as well as thousands of other people through the Amari Thompson Fund and Epilepsy Toronto.” Tristan’s younger brother suffers from epilepsy.
The custom sneakers raised eyebrows after reports alleged Tristan isn’t making an effort to see True. A source told Us Weekly on March 13, “Tristan’s attitude seems to be: ‘I will see True when I see her.’”

Khloe Kardashian responded to a fan’s concern on March 16 and said, “He is a good dad to her. My sweet and special baby True will NEVER be put in the middle of him and I. I can promise that.”
Tristan’s other baby mama Jordy Craig hasn’t commented on how often the NBA star visits Prince, but the last photo he posted of the toddler was on December 12, 2018.
