Tyler Baltierra 'Isn’t Opposed To' Seeking Treatment Weeks After Wife Catelynn Lowell' Return From Rehab!
April 5 2018, Updated 6:16 p.m. ET
Tyler Baltierra has always been honest with himself, as well as his fans, when it comes to any issue. On Monday night, the reality star sent out an alarming tweet about feeling "empty" and "alone" despite having a beautiful wife, a child, business, and more, that left fans concerned for the Teen Mom OG dad's health.
Tyler sent fans into a frenzy when he tweeted, "Laying in bed next to my peacefully sleeping wife. I can hear my daughter snoozing away through the monitor in her room. My dog is cuddled up on the floor next to me...& yet I feel so empty...so alone #TheCruelIronyOfLife."
On RadarOnline.com and OKMagazine.com's podcast, Teen Mom Time, Tyler and Catelynn Lowell's good friend, River Ceballos, opened up about that tweet, the reality star's future plans, and more.
"That caught me off guard! I think Tyler takes on so much, he hasn't really had a father figure in his life as you all have seen on the show," River explained on his first thoughts about the tweet. "Now that he's a father and a husband, he really tries to be the best father and the best husband and he kind of bends over backwards. Sometimes we have to remind him, you got to take a breath, you got to relax, you got to take time for yourself."
Many fans believed the tweet could be about the two heading for a split. However, Tyler and Cate fans...don't worry about any trouble in paradise! Despite the alarming tweet, it was not about his marriage!
"I don't think that tweet was meant to be anything like cryptic in a way they are getting a divorce or anything. I do think he wants to branch out and have something outside of him home life. Something he can do for himself! I mentioned before, he loves his career, he always wanted to be an actor, like a TV host, that kind of stuff...he's great at it, he's hilarious. I think he would be great doing that," River said.
As seen on the show, Tyler has admitted he's open to seeking treatment, which River thinks would be a great idea. "I definitely think it would be beneficial," he said when asked if he could see Tyler seeking help. "I could see that definitely. He does have a lot of unresolved issues from his past. Stuff he’s had to deal with Catelynn, stuff at home, his father that he’s had to put on the back burner."

Adding, "I could definitely see that in a good way. I think it would really help him. He isn’t opposed to it either."
As fans have seen on the show, Catelynn checked herself into rehab in November 2017 after having suicidal thoughts following their heartbreaking miscarriage. It hasn't been shown on the reality series yet, but Cate checked back into treatment in January of 2018 for a six week program.
"She’s doing a lot better. She’s really stepping her game up. I think therapy and rehab really helped her. She realizes how much stuff she really did put Tyler through," River said on Cate following her rehab stints. As seen from their Twitter exchanges, Cate has really stepped up and shown her support for her husband.
"She has taken on his role," River said. "Things have definitely switched. I’m interested to see what he does with his free time now that the reigns have loosened."
"I am not going to a rehab. I had a therapy appointment yesterday, I do Alpha Stim sessions & looking into EMDR therapy as well. Also, looking into a 7 day holistic spiritual retreat to reconnect with myself. Everyone has been really sweet about this & I appreciate it," Tyler further explained on Twitter Thursday afternoon.
