Tyler the Creator Totals His Tesla After Falling Asleep At The Wheel

Rapper Tyler The Creator took to Instagram to recall the harrowing experience he had in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 25. Read on for all the details on his scary accident and to find out how he’s doing now.
In an update to his Instagram Story, he explained that the car accident was caused by a lack of sleep. “My big doopy ass usually go to sleep 10:30 (i wake up at 7 er morn) and guess who wanted to finish music super late and dosed off for a few seconds while driving home,” he wrote.
He continued, “Im a dumb ass b**** but lil mama don’t have a scratch im lucky."
The 27-year-old then thanked the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk. “I calmly jumped out the back and called the people. thanks elon for the excessive airbags u a qt. good day sir,” he added.

Sources at the scene of the accident explained to The Blast that the “Glitter” rapper’s car crashed into a parked Honda. Apparently, the impact was so forceful that the car was pushed 50 feet down the street. However, no injuries were reported.
Yesterday, Tyler celebrated the release of his cover of “You’re Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” His twist on the classic Christmas song is part of the soundtrack for the new animated film Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch. Tyler is featured on multiple songs on the the soundtrack.
