Fans will remember the glorious time in the late 2000s when Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens dated and made every heart swoon. The former Disney Channel stars met on the set of the flick High School Musical and the rest is history! Vanessa appeared on the Awards Chatter podcast on Monday, April 22, and spoke about her relationship with Zac.
Vanessa, 30, opened up about her ex-BF and revealed that she felt "grateful" for that time in her life.
"It started off really organically. I could not have been more grateful to have that relationship at the time," the Second Act star said.

Vanessa looked back their time working in High School Musical and her experience being shot into instant fame. She explained, "It was this massive phenomenon and all eyes were on me. And it's just a really weird foreign thing to go through, and by being in a relationship, it kind of kept me stabilized and grounded, and I had someone to lean on who was going through it as well."

But Zac and Vanessa's relationship became complicated as the two went on to film the musical series. She added, "I remember one time we did have a fight and it was while we were at rehearsals, and I remember our director Kenny Ortega coming around the corner with the most concerned look on his face like, 'Oh no, is our movie going to fall apart right?'"
The Rent: Live! actress revealed, "I pride myself on being a professional, so I was like that aside we are going to move forward and do what we need to do...and we sorted it all out. I think because I was so young, I think that relationship stabilized me."
Zanessa started dating in 2006 after the first HSM premiered. They continued their relationship until 2010 after three HSM movies and four years together.
