Vicki Gunvalson got a little miracle for her birthday on Wednesday. The Real Housewives of Orange County star shared on Instagram that the night before her big day, she found an old birthday card from her mom Joanne Steinmetz, who died in February 2015.

“I found this birthday card from my mom by accident last night in my nightstand. I guess it was her way of telling me Happy Birthday from heaven,” Vicki captioned the pic of the pink and white card, covered with flowers and butterflies. “It was my last card I received from her as she died February 2015. #happybirthdaytome #missingher #mymom.”

“With love, daughter on your special day,” the card began. “These birthday wishes, filled with love, could only be for you, a daughter who is wonderful, and lovely, through and through!” She signed it, “Love you, very much.”

Vicki found out about her mother’s death on a heart-wrenching episode of RHOC. While at Shannon Beador’s bunco party, she received a call telling her the devastating news.

“What do you mean? What happened? No!” she shouted. “Briana, I can’t do this,” she said to her daughter before collapsing on the kitchen floor. “Oh, my God. I don’t want to believe this.”

The women immediately ran to Vicki’s side as she broke down. “I just want my mom back. I want my mom,” she said. “I need her every day. I need her so bad. Who’s going to worry about me? I don’t have parents now. I need my parents. I need my mom.”
