‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Brittany Cartwright Reveals Why She’s Waiting To Get Pregnant
Brittany Cartwright is taking life one step at a time. The Vanderpump Rules star, 30, tied the knot with husband, Jax Taylor in the summer of 2019 but during the Tuesday, January 7 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the reality star revealed that she was in no hurry to expand her family.
When a caller on the show asked the newlyweds about having children, their answer was unexpected. “We went and started trying one month and then Stassi and Lala’s wedding, so, and we’re in it. So that’s a problem,” Jax, 40, said about his Bravo costars Stassi Schroeder and Lala Kent, who are both getting married soon.
Brittany quickly chimed in, “Short version is we’re trying to make it to Italy for Stassi and Beau’s wedding and I’m not stuck back home because I’m too pregnant.”
The reality star added, “So, we’re trying to plan it out. But yes, babies! I want babies!” To which Jax jokingly asked, “Can you imagine being pregnant at Stassi’s wedding?”

Host Andy Cohen advised the couple not to schedule their family affairs around other people’s weddings, but Brittany reassured him that she was simply worried about being pregnant at the actual wedding. “I don’t want to be so pregnant where I’m stuck like Phoebe on Friends,” the reality star explained referencing an episode of the popular sitcom where Phoebe couldn’t attend Ross’s wedding in London because she was pregnant with triplets.
The Bravo stars got engaged in June 2018 at a restaurant in Malibu. Brittany shared the news on her Instagram with a snap of her ring writing, “Omg omg!!!!!!!! We are ENGAGED! What a way to start out summer and season 7!! I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives!”
The reality star continued, “I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed! I am the happiest girl ever right now. Love can win #PumpRules. Thank you @kylechandesign this ring is gorgeous!!!”
The couple tied the knot in front of 240 of their friends and family on Saturday, June 29, in Versailles, Kentucky at the Kentucky Castle. Brittany wore a versatile gown designed by Netta Benshabu while Jax sported a Jack Victor tuxedo.
