Iconic singer Whitney Houston’s body was laid to rest today in Newark, N.J., among her closest family and friends after a funeral service was held for the star at New Hope Baptist Church.

Reverend Jesse Jackson was one of the first to arrive at the site, along with Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina and ex-husband Bobby Brown.

The “I Will Always Love You” singer was found dead in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room on Feb. 11, just hours before she was slated to attend the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala.
