He’s a talented TV producer and writer who has worked on shows such as The Profit and Race to the Scene.
Charlie, his father and his younger brother Teddy were involved in a plane crash in 2004. Charlie and Dick survived. But Teddy died in the accident.
Following the incident, Ebersol spoke with Katie Couric on her talk show Katie about the way the accident changed his life. “ What changed for me is I stopped living for things that I thought I loved. And I started only living for thing I love,” he said.
The accident inspired Ebersol to create the TV show The Moment, which aired on USA. The show offered participants a second chance to pursue their dream careers.

Ebersol is also quite the traveler. His Instagram includes numerous photos from his trip to Israel over the summer.
His mother, Susan Saint James, was a television actress. She starred in TV shows like The Name of the Game, It Takes a Thief and McMillan & Wife.
