Zayn Malik is making sure everyone knows his relationship with former girlfriend Gigi Hadid is solid. The former boybander went on a scathing rant, firing back at internet trolls on Twitter, before declaring his love for the model.
On Wednesday, April 3 when the 26-year-old UK native posted a few cryptic tweets, including one that read, “You aren’t the person you said you were.”
Though Zayn didn’t specify a target, mainly fans believed he was talking about Gigi, 23. According to Us Weekly, the on-again/off-again couple are not together. "She has feelings for him, of course, but he has major issues and she knows they aren’t compatible,” a source told the outlet.
However, together or not the “Pillowtalk” singer wanted to make sure Gigi didn’t become the target of any baseless online hate or bullying. On Thursday, April 4, he fired off another round of tweets — this time laced with expletives.

“To any dumb f**k out there that wants to make their own stories up,” he wrote. “My tweet was not about @GiGiHadid so leave her the f**k alone she is the most amazing woman I’ve ever known.”
“She does nothing but love and support me when lord knows I don’t deserve it,” he continued.
“So if you have anything to say @ me and I’ll put you the f**k straight,” he added. “If you know nothing shut your f**king mouth.”
