Zoe Kravitz Recreates Mom Lisa Bonet's Legendary Nude ‘Rolling Stone’ Cover

Like mother, like daughter! Zoe Kravitz went totally nude for the latest Rolling Stone cover — just like her mother Lisa Bonet did exactly 30 years ago! Read on for the latest.
Call it a proud mom moment. Zoe shed all her clothes for the November 2018 issue of Rolling Stone magazine to honor her mom Lisa’s bold statement in 1988. "I've always loved that cover so much," the Big Little Lies star told the magazine. “It's a really striking image of her. It's beautiful.”
But while Lisa’s cover was a bit more of a tease as an oversized, thin white blouse covered her bosom (while still exposing her bare hip and leg), Zoe’s is COMPLETELY nude — zero clothes whatsoever.
That added risqué factor was intentional on Zoe’s part. Because the magazine highlight Lisa’s nude shots inside, rather than on the cover, the 29-year-old insisted her nude shot be front and center.

“I think she was a little bummed when they used the shirt picture as the cover,” the Big Little Lies star told the magazine. “I think she just thought, ‘I’m doing it, let’s do it!’ It’s less about the picture and more about doing the thing my mom intended to do. That feels cool.”
Her mom wasn’t the only powerful maternal figure that Zoe paid homage to in the magazine. She also donned her late grandmother and actress Roxie Roker’s (her dad Lenny’s mom, who immortalized Helen on The Jeffersons) boa inside the magazine. “I’ve kind of stayed away from referencing my parents, because I’ve been trying to create my own identity,” she admitted. “But I feel like it’s a good time. I feel comfortable in my own skin. And it’s nice to do that homage to them. Because I love them! They’re my parents!”
