Eva Marcille shocked fans when it was revealed she would be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Season 10 already was highly anticipated due to popular former housewives NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak announcing their return to the franchise. So news of Eva making appearances throughout the season made things even juicier! The model and actress spoke with OK! exclusively about her latest television gig and how she feels about being a part of the cast.
“I thought it was kind of cool to be a part of a world where I am different and show a different perspective,” she said.
“I’m a young mom, and aside from Kandi Burress, no one has a kid as young as my daughter, and now I’m expecting a new child. And then I turn 33-years-old on the show, so I’m extremely young trying to figure this thing out. I’ve met the love of my life and trying to make things work things out between he and I, so I thought it was cool to be part of this circle because I did bring a different dynamic than already existed. I think we meshed really well.”

And while NeNe can appear quite intimidating with all her shade-throwing, she is the only who encouraged Eva to be a part of the show.
"I'm good friends with NeNe Leakes and I was one of the girlfriends that she would call when she came to LA," Eva told OK! "All these years later, we have kept in touch and become good girlfriends. I started dating a guy in Atlanta and found myself here often and decided to move here. So in making that decision, I remember talking to NeNe and letting her know that I was looking to move and get her assistance to help navigate through the city as a young mom and a newly taken woman. So she jumped to the challenge and introduced me to a couple of her friends, and I was extremely fortunate to have a group of girls to learn from and hang out with."
We certainly will be tuned in!
Be sure to catch Eva on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which airs Sundays at 8pm ET on Bravo.
