Sad news coming out of Bachelor Base Camp. Eric Hill, a contestant on Andi Dorfman's upcoming season of The Bachelorette, passed away this morning after a paragliding accident in Draper, UT left him in critical condition on Sunday. His sister Karen Tracy took to her personal Facebook page to share the tragic news:
Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away. Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It was amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric. He gave us such a gift of a life fully lived and fully shared, and allowed us all to be a part of his last adventure here on earth. It is hard to think of life without his bright spark, but we know he is on to new adventures. We look forward to carrying on his legacy here and greeting him joyfully again someday. I love you so much, little brother!
While not much is known about Hill (ABC hasn't even announced the cast list for this upcoming season) it's clear from a quick internet search that he was man who enjoyed life. Aside from his time on The Bachelorette, he was also in the midst of filming a documentary about his travels around the world. According to his website, GoWithEric.com, his project Go Eric Go encouraged people to, "Join Eric Hill as he travels to every country in the world in world record time. Go with Eric as he experiences places in totally unique ways, teams up with local charities and dives into different cultures all over the world."

It's unclear how ABC will deal with this tragedy on the show, but we do know that the tragedy happened after his filming ending. In fact, according to Reality Steve, his time on the show was relatively brief.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
