Amanda Righetti's Big Night Makeover

As kick-butt agent Grace Van Pelt on The Mentalist, Amanda Righetti is always in command of the situation. But in real life, the star admits that, for her first-ever red carpet moment, she was far from calm, cool or collected. “I had a meltdown,” she reveals to OK!. “It was the season one wrap party of The O.C. she played Hailey Nichol. I was given bad styling advice.” Ten minutes before leaving the house, Amanda was forced to bail on the dress she was loaned. “I ended up wearing something from my own closet. It wasn’t perfect, but I made do.” These days, glamour comes easier. Amanda says her own sense of style has “matured. I appreciate the saying ‘less is more.’ ” OK! asked Amanda to model two takes on red carpet beauty: one, fresh and modern, the other, retro and sexy. Of course, she looks flawless in both.
