While at the Mad Men premiere, January Jones did something so very unlike her character Betty Draper Francis, a gal who clings to her perfectly placed blonde bob and minimalistic cosmetics routine like none other. What did the actress (who recently admitted she's sort of a prankster) do? She rocked this twisted French braid—with blue top eyeliner and a gold shimmer lower lash line, we might add.

What's really cool about this pretty springtime braid is that it's actually three-in-one. A trio of braiding techniques was used to achieve the undone and twisted design that so intricately shows off and exposes her dark roots (there is major beauty envy going on right now). Wella Professional Celebrity Stylist Ambassador, Andy lecompte started off with a French braid, adding in rope braids and completing the look by braiding the three together to create one.

Want to try it at home? You'll need a few elastics, a clean head of hair, and a straightener. Remember, it's meant to be a little undone! Take a look at the how-to below and get to work on spring's cutest 'do.

1. You'll need clean hair. The experts suggest washing with Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner.

2. Next, it's time to prep your washed hair for styling with products to give the creation process more ease. Try applying one pump of Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier to damp hair before you style.

3. Back comb your hair while blow drying and spray a bit of Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray. This will rid the hair of unwanted fly-aways.

4. Once your hair is dry, run a few pumps of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections through your locks. This is designed to make your hair easier to braid.

5. Start braiding! Separate your hair into three sections. Let your hair part naturally and take a large section of hair from the right side. With this hair, create an outside French braid from the top of the head to the lower neck.

6. Next, take a section from the left side and create a rope braid along the side of the head.

7. Connect these two braids with a clear elastic band at the back of the head.

8. Take the hair beneath (the last section of unbraided hair) and braid tightly from top to bottom. Secure this with an elastic band.

9. Take the three separate braids and create one final braid.

10. Give the shorter pieces in the front a slight bend with a straightener iron. Spray the whole head with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray.
