"There’s this hair trick I found out about in Singapore on a shoot and I was blown away by how genius it was," she says. "Everyone wants volume at the crown of their head but not everybody is going to go out and buy something as ridiculous as the Bumpit. They’re laughing themselves all the way to the bank." (Editorial Note: I may or may not have purchased a Bumpit at one point in my life.)

"There’s this tiny crimper that’s maybe an inch and a half wide and it’s one crimp," explains Jeannie. "What they did in Singapore was they would crimp the very base at the root of my hair, kind of like where you tease. I’m telling you, it gives you this volume as you comb over it and kind of pump it up to a half up-do to even just leaving it all down. My hair stylist would say, 'Oh my God, that crimp is still there three weeks later.' It’s heated and it just sits in your hair and the heat from your scalp keeps that crimp there. That was in Singapore and I couldn’t find it here. I started working with OpenSky.com and I found it! It’s on my Open Sky and it’s called the Mini Volumizing Root Lift and the brand is Corioliss. It’s ah-mazing! I swear by it. It’s magic."
