Starring in her new VH1 show, The Price of Beauty, has taught Jess that she looks even more gorgeous with less makeup.
Her all-American looks have long turned heads, but as she readies for the debut of her VH1 series on March 15 at 10 p.m., Jessica Simpson is putting a new face forward. With a pared-down makeup routine, she’s showing off a cleaner, younger style and glowing with self-confidence. It was her road trip with hairstylist and BFF Ken Paves to explore global beauty trends and practices for the show that drastically changed her idea of what it means to be beautiful. “I carry myself differently now!” says the singer. No stranger to the beauty industry, she had already partnered with Paves to create HairDo, a hairextension line, and founded Dessert, a brand of edible cosmetics. But this latest experience has been truly liberating. “You can’t let anyone else define beauty for you,” says Jess.
