Natalie Portman's Makeup Artist Dishes on Her Oscar Style

Last year the gorgeous Natalie Portman took home the Best Actress Oscar for her role in Black Swan, and this year she’ll be a presenter. So how does the star look so perfect every time she walks the red carpet? Her Oscar night makeup artist Eileen Kastner-Delago gives us the scoop!

What’s Natalie’s fave red carpet beauty look?

She likes a natural look. She feels most comfortable when she’s herself. Her eyes are so expressive, I concentrate on those. I also emphasize her bone structure.

Natural makeup is so hot right now. Any tips to achieve it?

Using two tones of blush creates more dimension to the cheeks, which in the end looks more natural. I use warm browns, taupes, purple and midnight blues on Natalie’s eyes and two mascaras. Stick to natural lips or try berry and pinkish tones.

What about touch-ups through the night?

I send her off with Diorskin Crystal nude natural Matte Skin Perfecter, which is great for touch-ups, a clean mascara wand and a tiny hairspray. Spritz a little on the wand and comb gently to tame flyaways.
